From the Administrator

We hope you have all been staying healthy and safe throughout this COVID-19 Pandemic.  We have been grateful for our outdoor visits that we have been able to implement.  I would like to give a huge shout out to our Activities Department which includes Donna, Teresa and Michelle, and to Lori, the facilities Administrative Assistant.  They all have put in countless hours to ensure these visits run smoothly from organizing the schedule to supervising and sanitizing visitation areas, etc.  There are a lot of moving parts to make these visits possible and these individuals have done a wonderful job ensuring we can offer this option to our residents, tenants and families!

We are continuing to follow the guidance that have been set forth by the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Department of Inspections and Appeals (DIA).  We will continue to keep you informed as new guidance or information becomes available from these organizations.

In the month of September, we would like to recognize our Housekeeping Department during National Housekeeper Week which is held from September 13th through the 19th.  Please join me in extending my gratitude and appreciation to our housekeeping department who keep our facility looking great daily, those individuals are:  Connie, Kathy and Taylor.

Please also, join me in recognizing our Assisted Living employees during National Assisted Living Week which is also, held from September 13th through the 19th.  These staff members are Amy, Michelle, Ashley, Tori, Kennedy, Sue Ellen, Ethan, Beth, Ashlynn, Bridget, Valerie and Mariah for all their hard work and dedication in providing such great care at Kensington Place Assisted Living!
