Notes from Nursing

With the chilly weather and dry air upon us,  we would like to remind everyone of our humidifier policy.  If your loved one has a humidifier, please have a family member deep clean and replace the filter monthly if the unit has one.  The facility will have housekeeping clean and dust the humidifier weekly.  This will be monitored by housekeeping and myself.  Replacing the filter monthly helps with infection control.  The filters help slow the growth of mold, but doesn't repel it.  We want to ensure that every resident stays as healthy as possible.  If you have any questions regarding humidifiers, please call or stop in and talk to Hayley or myself.
