Norwegian Rosettes


2 eggs

1 tsp sugar

¼ tsp salt

1 cup milk

1 cup flour

Vegetable oil for deep frying (Canola or Crisco)

Powdered sugar


Beat eggs slightly. Add sugar and salt. Beat together. Add milk and flour. Beat until smooth. Heat rosette iron in the oil. After iron is heated dip into batter only going halfway up the iron. Dip into oil and fry until golden. Remove from the oil and let dry on a paper towel. Once cool dip into powdered sugar. Repeat until batter is gone. If the batter does not stick to the iron let it cool for a bit and then repeat. If you have a brand-new iron, it may stick more until it gets seasoned.
